Editorial Design | Typography | Layout
Studio project creating a multi-spread publication supported by a custom wordmark to establish a distinct visual identity. Typographic principles and a modular grid system unify layouts and communicate the publication’s message.
The Problem
The fashion industry thrives on fleeting trends, pushing overconsumption while treating sustainability as secondary. Outworn reframes the narrative by positioning sustainable fashion as timeless and necessary, while casting unsustainable habits as what’s truly “outworn.”
Wordmark Creation
Concept statement: Outworn boldly redefines the fashion scene by rejecting overconsumption and fleeting trends in order to focus on sustainable personal style.

Initial hand sketches customized existing typefaces based on keywords and typographic attributes.

Layout Design & Visual Identity
Spread iterations were done within a 4x3 grid system that defined placement of text and imagery.
