UX/UI | App Design | Branding
Studio project conceptualizing an app that lets users shop outfits, build a virtual closet, and connect with a fashion community. UX/UI design and visual branding highlight the app’s unique mix of shopping, organization, and community features.
The Problem
Deciding what to wear often means juggling multiple apps for inspiration, shopping, and planning, leaving the process fragmented and stressful. Dress Code consolidated these needs into one platform, offering tools to organize wardrobes, shop intentionally, and connect with others. The project explored how one app could simplify fashion decisions while building confidence and community.
User Experience
Insights show that fashion is important to Gen Z women and that social media has changed how consumers can interact and shop with brands.

Crazy 8 sketching activity generated early ideas that were then tweaked and pushed further for paper prototype A/B testing.

Hub & Spoke information architecture organizes pages centered around a main social and shopping homepage.

Two user personas developed to represent female users within the target Gen-Z age rage who will utilize the organizational and shopping aspects of the app.

Wireframes
Lofi wireframes remained close to initial sketch layouts. Peer and instructor feedback focused on main navigational features and element sizing.

Navigational elements incorporated feedback to user, corners were rounded, and element sizes were adjusted in rounds of refinement.

Visual Design
Neobrutalist inspiration aligns with a Gen Z demographic while utilizing a minimal layout to allow content to shine through.

Style guide created to define the visual style of the app.
